PINDFOUNDATION with ICD has organised a capable training on ICT/SOCIAL MEDIA for CSOs in Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

ICD and other local and international partners, planning how to control and reduce cervical cancer in Nigeria through robust advocacy, awareness creation, early testing for detection and administering of cervical cancer vaccines on Nigerians. Partnership for Eradication of Cancer in Africa (PECA) joined other Stakeholders including the Federal Ministry of Health and WHO to cost the Nigerian Cervical Cancer Control Plan (April 26-28,2016) in Abuja.

ICD have been tasked with the responsibility for engagement on SPDC GMoU program implementation planning, sustainable livelihood assessment and 5 years community plan development.

ICD was represented by Mrs. Nneka Nwankwo, Engr. Fieva Eghove and Mr. Festus Ogbalor during 'Bilagorogbene Mein Cluster Development Foundation' CDB meeting in Yenagoa.

Initiative for Community Development represented and the GHESA Ingenierai Y. Tecnologia of Spain recently met in Calabar on collaboration to enhance social investments in the The Health Sector.

28 years old Miss Pere Asamawei from Odi Community in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, a beneficiary of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

She is running a catering business in Kpansia Community in Yenagoa Local Government Area, courtesy of the Presidential Amnesty Programme through the Youth Empowerment Scheme.

Miss Asamawei told a six men verification team from the Presidential Amnesty Programme's office in Abuja that the empowerment scheme has put smiles on the faces of the Ex-agitators in the region.
